Melanie Werner was born and raised in Berlin in 1978 and began her professional career in the Bertelsmann Group. There she worked for 13 years in different positions - always with the “common thread” of content and marketing. She was a founding member of the first German online kiosk in 2010 and was able to experience and shape the digitalization of the book from the start.
Before moving to Audible, an Amazon subsidiary and the largest German-speaking audiobook provider, she gained further digital and leadership expertise at one of the largest German publishers. At Amazon she got to know not only the corporate culture, but also the way of working and strategy development of one of the largest global digital companies, which differs significantly from those of most German companies. For several years she was responsible for the top-selling German content department, including the in-house audiobook publisher Audible Studios, and led her German content team through a structural change process.
After a total of 20 years of professional and management experience, she decided to switch sides and support companies in finding and implementing their individual path to “New Work”. Melanie's focus here is on the inner work that is necessary and prerequisite for changes on the outside. Her years of practical experience is complemented by her certifications as “New Work Professional” and as Systemic Coach (DVBC).
She lives happily in Hamburg with her husband and their dog.
I am deeply convinced that personal satisfaction in the company and a strong inner connection to one's own work are closely related to the company's success. As a personality I am an “explorer”, I seek to understand roots and origins, take a holistic look at people and topics and in recent years have increasingly dealt with the “how” in relation to the topic of work.

These and similar questions have accompanied me over the years. Sometimes I asked myself from my own perspective as a manager or employee, sometimes I observed situations from the outside that inevitably raised these questions. And the more often and more publicly I asked them, the clearer it became that the topics behind these questions are my real passion. That, thanks to my decades of practical experience, my certification as "New Work Professional" and my passion for people, I would very much like to help companies become even more successful - thanks to satisfied, motivated and creative employees.
