Project overview:
A German medium-sized company aimed to enhance its future resilience, maintain independence within its industry and to ensure the company's long-term success (2035+).
Our assignment as E>V was to design and facilitate the change and strategy process for the ‘People & Culture’ action area, and providing support over the course of a year.
Objective:
To develop a strategy for ‘People & Culture’, identifying overarching strategic fields of action based on previously developed future scenarios, with the aim of deriving success factors for the group of companies.
Solution approach:
We initiated an iterative process consisting of four workshops and two intensive work phases, covering everything from analyzing the current situation and identifying transformation areas to developing strategic options and actionable recommendations.
Implementation:
As facilitators, coaches, mentors, and organizational developers, we guided the client through the process in pairs. A combination of proven, innovative, and agile tools supported the successful transformation project.
Challenges:
On one hand, the iterative process allowed us to respond flexibly to unexpected challenges and new requirements.
At the same time, the lack of a fully mapped process created discomfort for some participants, who needed more planning certainty to fully commit to this change initiative.
In addition, the extra time required for this project became a difficult balancing act for the ‘changemakers’, as they juggled the demands of their day-to-day responsibilities with the project work.
